QCUIAG Image Processing Challenge
This is an experimental web site to hopefully share out a few raw images for processing practice. Since the files are so large, I'll probably share one or two at a time and we'll see how this works out.
Processing Challenge #2: M27
This image was taken on June 26th at around 12:40am. I took 54 images at 30 seconds each. In my image I used 26 of those for my final result.
Here are the files:
10 meg zipped file of the raw .avi sequence
30 second dark frame .bmp
The first image is of the M51 Whirlpool galaxy (which is the best attempt I've don so far considering I've got a bit of light pollution problem here).
This is my image that I processed:
Ok, so now the fun part! You can download the raw images from here. The image file is 52 of the best frames out of the 90 total. Probably you guys with dial-up connections won't want to do this since its a 22 meg file!
So, there it is. Have at it and see what you can come up with. Those of you with fast connections and cloudy skies will hopefully have fun with this. :-)
The only requirement is that you post the image on the QCUIAG group and tell us what you did to make it look so good.
We'll try this out and if it is a success, I'll add some more light polluted frames to work on.
